As part of our mission to help people get informed about critical issues in the food system, Civil Eats has developed a new educational curriculum that we’re calling: Crash Courses.
In June of 2024, we launched our first-ever Crash Course: Climate Solutions in Food & Farming.
This email-based course covered the basics of how climate change is impacting the food system, and some of the solutions that can address those impacts.
Over the course of the month, we sent participants a weekly email guiding them through the analysis of the climate issues, examples of climate solutions and a curated list of related reporting. We also created a Slack discussion group and hosted a Zoom-based discussion about what we learned during the course.
